SOFTER IS SMARTER
ERT adds protection against brain injuries.
How does ERT work?
Most Global helmet test standards, including CPSC and CE, require a helmet to limit the rider’s experience to less than 300 G’s of acceleration energy during a simulated crash impact. This is the required pass/fail upper threshold for helmet impact testing.
However, studies show that lower impacts in the 108 G range may correlate to concussions and traumatic brain injuries (TBI’s). It is estimated that 80% of crashes fall in this range.
ERT is specifically designed to add a degree of energy management at these lower level impacts while retaining the helmet's higher G test performance.
